Posted on June 24: McMaster claims seven medals for advancing education

McMaster University continues to demonstrate that it is a place of excellence and innovation. This year, two University departments received seven medals at the Prix D'Excellence, the prestigious annual awards program of the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE).

The CCAE recognizes outstanding achievement in alumni affairs, public affairs, development, student recruitment, and overall institutional advancement.

This year's winners are the Office of the Registrar and University Advancement.

McMaster University Year I Handbook, McMaster Review, McMaster @lumni Community Ad, and CIHR Poster

The Office of the Registrar received a gold medal in the category of Best Program, Student Recruitment and a silver medal for the McMaster University Year I Handbook in the Best Student Recruitment Viewbook.

University Advancement saw medals awarded to the Office of Public Relations and the McMaster Alumni Association. The Office of Public Relations received a silver medal for the McMaster Review. The McMaster Alumni Association received two silver medals in the Best Program, Alumni Relations category, for the Albert Lager Event Series, and in the Best Print Ad or Ad Campaign, for the McMaster @lumni Community Ads. They also received a bronze medal for their profiles program in the Best Alumni or Volunteer Recognition category.

As well, the University was awarded a silver medal in the Best Poster category for the CIHR Poster Series developed by the Public Relations Office, Faculty of Health Sciences, VP Research Office, and the Office of Public Relations.

Congratulations to all departments who participated in the CCAE Prix D'Excellence.
