[img_inline align=”right” src=”http://padnws01.mcmaster.ca/images/Bontis.jpg” caption=”Nick Bontis”]Business professor Nick Bontis has won the Emerald Literati Awards' 2004 Outstanding Paper accolade for best article published in The Leadership & Organization Development Journal for the submission: “Transformational Leadership: An examination of cross-national differences and similarities.”

The prestigious Emerald Literati Awards recognize author and editor excellence and are awarded annually by leading international publisher in the library and information sciences (LIS), engineering, property and health care and management sectors.

In Bontis' paper, he writes that success in the global marketplace depends on a manager's ability to provide leadership and exceptional success depends on sustaining extraordinary performance.
