Machinists, represented by Service Employees International Union Local 532, and the University reached a tentative collective agreement on Jan. 23.
Details of the contract will be available following the ratification process, which is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.
McMaster's current agreement with the machinists expires March 31, 2003.
