John McGowan is the new business manager for the McMaster Students Union.

McGowan takes up his new role, today, Feb. 7, and can be reached at ext. 24111.

McGowan has more than six years of student union experience, most recently at Ryerson University where he was the general manager of the student union, Ryesac, for the last two years.

McGowan's private sector experience includes experience as a financial adviser and trader with CIBC Investor Services.

McGowan's experience also includes working as an active participant with a student centre project at Ryerson.

“I'm excited about coming to Hamilton to join the MSU on the McMaster campus,” McGowan said.
