Posted on Feb. 12: McMaster basketball to battle Guelph for OUA west playoff positioning

There are only three games remaining in the regular season basketball
schedule and the battle for playoff positioning has heated up in the
OUA West Division.

This Saturday, Feb. 14, the McMaster basketball teams will
meet its rivals from the University of Guelph at the Burridge
Gymnasium on the McMaster campus.

The McMaster women's basketball team, on a six-game winning streak, will tip-off against the Guelph Gryphons at 1 p.m. Four teams
share an 11-8 record in the OUA West (McMaster, Guelph, Brock and
Wilfrid Laurier) and the game will have an impact on the final playoff
picture.

In the second half of the double-header, the nationally fifth-ranked
McMaster men's basketball team will meet the ninth-ranked
University of Guelph Gryphons at 3 p.m.

First place, and home court advantage throughout the playoffs in the
OUA west will be on the line with the #1 and #2 teams in the division
doing battle.
