Posted on Dec. 20: Operating engineers, University ratify collective agreement
The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 772 and McMaster University have ratified a three-year renewal collective agreement.
The engineers' previous collective agreement expired Nov. 30.
The new collective agreement took effect on Dec. 1, 2002 and
expires on Nov. 30, 2005.
The IUOE bargaining unit has 10 operating engineers who operate the power plant to provide the major portion of the heating, refrigeration and air conditioning to campus.
