Attention all of you hip hop dancers. The McMaster Hip Hop Dance Company needs you!

A call has gone out from the company seeking three more dancers to join its troupe. Audition takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Rose Hill Dance Studio in the Ivor Wynne Centre.

According to member David Ng, the Hip Hop Dance Company is “really cool.” The Level III Arts & Science Program student likes the diverse nature of the troupe. “There are different interests and strengths among the members, and lots of positive energy,” he says.

David Wilson, artistic director, McMaster School of Dance, notes that the company includes not only McMaster students but also dancers from the local community.

A program offered by the McMaster School of Dance, hip hop classes were first offered in September 2000. The company, established at that time, currently has 11 members.
