If there is one certainty as the three-time Yates Cup champion McMaster Marauders open training camp today, it is that the starting quarterback spot is wide open.

McMaster head coach Greg Marshall made that point perfectly clear yesterday after parading some high-quality Canadian-produced beef in front of the media — namely eight of the 30-odd recruits who will be among the 110 players invited to the nine-day training camp.

And none of the freshmen is more coveted than Frontenac-Kingston's Adam Archibald, 19, the best quarterback prospect in the province.
