Following on the success of last year's In the Kitchen, students in McMaster's Theatre & Film Studies program have once again come together under the supervision of director Peter Cockett, dramaturge Catherine Graham and designer Patrick Brennan to create a new play, one that tells a story of the Internet as they experience it.
Their creation, lovedotcomm, is a world where the cyber-savvy happily multi-task, moving with ease between questing with ogres and elves, creating jobs in Second Life, exploring relationships in chatrooms and virtual red light districts, dodging parents in Facebook, and campaigning for caring and global justice.
From Nov. 16 to 24, the public is invited to lovedotcomm, a world without borders where strength is not measured in kilohertz or gigabytes, but in the quality of the relationships that make it happen.
The play contains explicit language and adult content which is not suitable for children.
Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for students. For tickets, call the School of the Arts at 905-525-9140, ext. 24246 or buy them at the door at Robinson Memorial Theatre (CNH 103)
