McMaster students in financial need will be the beneficiaries of a new bursary fund named for the University's retiring President Peter George.
For students in financial need, a well-timed bursary can be the difference between having to leave university or being able to continue their studies.
The new bursary fund will be established from proceeds of an event being held March 23 celebrating Peter George's contributions to McMaster. George retires on June 30, after serving 15 years as President and Vice-Chancellor.
The event "Peter George: Celebrating a Presidential Legacy" takes place at the Ronald V. Joyce Centre for Performing Arts at Hamilton Place. More information about the event can be found here.
