McMaster President Patrick Deane will discuss the role of the University and the United Nations millennium development goals at a talk to be held Thursday, Dec. 3 at 3:30 in Convocation Hall.

The presentation entitled The University and the United Nations: The Millennium Development Goals, will provide insight into how McMaster can play a role in furthering the UN goals. Five years ago, the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) was established to enlist the global academy in helping to achieve the Millennium Development Goals of the UN. McMaster became a signatory in that first year.

The talk will provide an update on the impacts of the agreement on the University and how McMaster should assess its impact on the Millennium Goals themselves.

The campus community and members of the public are invited to participate. Free parking is available. Those interested must arrange for a parking voucher by sending an email to saulles@mcmaster.ca
