Campus Health Centre offers naturopathic medicine

A new service at the Campus Health Centre provides an alternate approach to health care. Beginning Nov. 17, naturopathic medicine will be available for both students and employees of McMaster University.

A new cardiovascular health promotion program for seniors is wrapping up this week in communities across Ontario. More than 13,500 seniors have visited a pharmacy session over the last few weeks to have their blood pressure measured and complete a cardiovascular risk profile.

Last semester, I had the opportunity to expand my horizons in a way that I know will affect the rest of my life. I was lucky enough to go on a McMaster exchange to the University of Leeds in England. New psychiatry chair announced

Effective Jan. 1, 2007, Dr. Robert B. Zipursky, will be chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, and hold the Morgan Firestone Chair in Psychiatry at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University. In addition, Dr. Zipursky will be chief of psychiatry for both St. Joseph's Healthcare (Hamilton) and Hamilton Health Sciences.

Teaching Assistants Ratify University’s Offer

In a vote held November 8 and 9, Teaching Assistants voted to accept the settlement offer proposed by the University. This result resolves the collective bargaining for a renewal agreement between CUPE Local 3906 and McMaster and avoids any strike action by the union.
