A new mobile app will allow users to find out what restaurants on campus are open late and what they offer.

The Mac Eats app is set up to provide users with the information on almost any restaurant on campus – as well as a few partnered restaurants off campus — from their phone.

This app will help students find restaurants that accommodate their dietary needs and specific taste at the touch of button.

The app combines geo-mapping with a restaurant-filtering system to allow students to find meals on campuses that will satisfy their taste at almost any time of day.

One unique feature of the app is its special-occasions option, which allows students to find information on where to get specialty items such as birthday cakes and gift baskets.

The Mac Eats app is the brainchild of Hospitality Services and the Student Dining Committee, and the app was designed with the student experience in mind.

“We are a university. It’s all about the students, bottom line,” says Chris Roberts, Director of Hospitality Services.

The Mac Eats app was developed in-house with the support of Media and Print Services.

The Mac Eats app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store and the Apple App Store.
