The Opportunities Expo is the largest recruitment fair held at McMaster and offers information for students across all faculties.

“The Expo is a unique one day program that was developed to assist students in sourcing and securing employment opportunities,” said Jacque Hampshire, events and marking coordinator, Career Services. “In today's economic climate, it's important that students are ready to enter the labour market aware of their skills and how university life has prepared them for employment.”

The Opportunities Expo takes place today (Thursday, March 12) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the third floor of the McMaster University Student Centre.

Some highlights of the Opportunities Expo include on-the-spot resume reviews, employment workshops and a panel discussion.

The panel discussion, moderated by Professor Mike Veal, chair of the Department of Economics, will focus on career survival in challenging economic times. Employers will share advice, information and strategies for young professionals entering the job market. The discussion will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Dining Room of the University Club.
