Open consultation sessions for Strategic Mandate Agreements

The province has asked universities to continue working on its plans for the future as part of the Strategic Mandate process.

As part of this process, the McMaster community will have several opportunities to share their opinions and feedback about the vision, objectives and priorities for the University. A series of online chats and meetings are scheduled and all members of the community are encouraged to participate.

Tuesday, Oct. 29 — MSU To Host Online Chat with McMaster President & Provost (5 to 6 p.m.)

Please join President Patrick Deane and Provost David Wilkinson for an online chat hosted by the MSU. Next year, McMaster will enter into a Strategic Mandate Agreement with the provincial government which will outline the vision, objectives and priorities for the University. This is your opportunity to discuss McMaster’s priorities, ask questions, offer your suggestions and ideas, and think about what makes  McMaster stand out.

Tuesday, Nov. 5 — Student Forum (2:30 to 4 p.m.)
Council Chambers, Gilmour Hall Room 111

Please join President Patrick Deane and Provost David Wilkinson for an Open Forum discussion. This session will provide an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate  students to hear from the President and Provost about McMaster’s priorities, the government’s process, and what this means for Ontario’s universities and colleges. It is also an opportunity to ask questions,  offer your suggestions and ideas, and think about what makes McMaster  stand out.

Monday, Nov. 25 — Faculty/Staff  Forum (2:30 to 4 p.m.)
Council Chambers, Gilmour Hall Room 111

Please join President Patrick Deane and Provost David Wilkinson for an Open Forum discussion about the vision, objectives and priorities for the University. This session will provide an opportunity for faculty and staff to hear from the President and Provost about the government’s process, what this means for Ontario’s universities and  colleges, and engage in a discussion about McMaster’s priorities, long-term goals, and position within the sector.
