Workshop participants will explore the gap between public policy and technology, particularly concerning digital transactions. The convenience and efficiency offered by today's electronic transaction services are offset by potential social, political, financial, environmental and ethical consequences.
Other speakers include Mike Gurski, privacy strategist director, Bell Enterprise Group; Bill Munson, vice-president, Information Technology Association of Canada; Robert Simmonds, chairman, Lenbrook Corporation; Ken Anderson, assistant commissioner (privacy), Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario; and Gail Krantzberg, director, Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy.
To register, please contact Dulcie Amaral at 905-525-9140, ext. 26401 or amarald@mcmaster.ca.
The workshop is being organized by the Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy at McMaster University.
