Ontario environment minister to speak on clean water initiatives

Broten, a McMaster alumna, will be on campus in the Michael DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery (MDCL), room 1102 on Friday, March 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Broten holds two McMaster undergraduate degrees, a B.Sc.in biology from the Faculty of Science ('89) and a BA in Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences ('90).

The event is being sponsored by McMaster's Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy, and coincides with the United Nations' annual World Water Day held March 22.

The recently established Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy at McMaster University provides study at the graduate level to enhance students' understanding of the interface between engineering and public policy, and how public policy affects technological, social, economic and ecological systems leading to sustainability.
