Additional IT support now available in Mills Library

Beginning January 2019, additional IT support will be available for McMaster students in the Learning Commons area of Mills Library. This is a pilot initiative for the Winter 2019 term conducted in collaboration and partnership between Library Services and University Technology Services (UTS).

This initiative is an opportunity to provide in-person IT support in a student-based environment and to gather feedback and information that will continue to improve IT support at McMaster.

This new offering will provide in-person IT client service support Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.. Students will now be able to receive support for IT-related items such as:

  • MacID issues (locked accounts, password changes)
  • Student email issues, activations
  • Email and WiFi configurations and issues on mobile devices and laptops
  • Printing issues
  • Office 365 access and questions
  • Other IT changes, initiatives, implementations

Staff can also take advantage of this new service offering if they require immediate in-person assistance out of regular UTS service hours (4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. only).

The Mills Library Commons Help Centre also offers Writing Skills and Library Services help.
