A new AVP Institutional Research and Analysis has been appointed. Jacy Lee joins McMaster from Simon Fraser University where she is currently the director, Institutional Research and Planning.

“Jacy brings a wide-range of experience in the postsecondary and public sectors which will give McMaster a distinct advantage in our institutional, enrolment, resource and financial planning,” said Provost David Wilkinson.  “I look forward to introducing her to members of the McMaster community after she begins her new role on March 4th.”  The role is also involved with government relations and liaison activities working closely with the University’s Public and Government Relations unit.

Lee’s institutional research experience first began at Capilano College where she was manager of Institutional Research between 2005 and 2007.  She also has extensive working experience in the government sector serving  in various capacities involving policy development, program review, project management, planning and budget analysis within the Ministry of Advanced Education and the Treasury Board Staff in British Columbia.  Lee holds three Masters degrees (in law, theological studies and public administration) and earned a Doctor of Education degree in educational policy and leadership from UBC.

“McMaster provides a tremendous opportunity to be part of an institution with an enviable international distinction for both teaching and research,” said Lee.  “I’m looking forward to learning about its diverse programs and the people who shape the University, and to being part of a collaborative team focussed on helping McMaster achieve its goals.”
