New ABMs to be installed on campus

New automated banking machines (ABM) will be installed across campus over the next few weeks.
Led by Terry Galan, director of purchasing, and Nancy Gray, director of finance, a user group of representatives from across campus, including the McMaster Students Union, selected Swytch as the successful supplier of automated banking services.
“We recently completed a request for proposal for ABMs on campus, with the goal of increasing the number of units to meet service requirement, lowering transaction costs and increasing revenue back to the University,” says Galan. “Swytch has considerable experience in the industry and has a number of colleges, universities and blue chip businesses across Canada as customers.”
As a result of the new contract, the cash only CIBC ABMs in Gilmour Hall and the Commons Building will be replaced with cash only Swytch ABMs. Additional Swytch ABMs will be installed in the Michael G. DeGroote Center for Learning and Discovery, Mary Keyes, John Hodgins Engineering Building and the Athletics and Recreation Complex. Swytch identified these new locations based on analysis of pedestrian traffic patterns and transaction volumes.
A Direct Cash ABM in the Institute for Applied Health Sciences will be replaced with a cash only Swytch, when that contract expires. As well, the McMaster Credit Union ABMs in the McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) and the Downtown Centre will be replaced with Swytch units when those contracts expire.
There will be no change to the full service CIBC ABM machines in MUSC.
