The first week of May marks North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week. This year, McMaster will host NAOSH events from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9. The events will include training sessions on workplace safety, a vendor fair and prize draws.

“Recognizing the daily efforts many people put towards the Health and Safety Program here at McMaster is critical to our collective success,” said health and safety specialist Chris Hurley. “NAOSH Week gives us an opportunity to say thank you, and recommit to driving a safe working and learning environment for all members of the McMaster community.”

EOHSS will present the Award of Excellence in Health and Safety Contribution to a McMaster student, staff or volunteer who has demonstrated excellence in campus health and safety. The award will be presented during the NAOSH barbeque lunch on the front lawn of the Burke Science Building on Thursday, May 8.
