MSU hosts charity golf tournament to support child care centre

The McMasters brings students, faculty, staff and community members of all calibres together in support of the MSU Child Care Centre.

In operation for more than 35 years, the Centre provides child care services for students and staff of the McMaster community, and is also open to children from Westdale and neighbouring communities.

The staff caters to each individual child's needs, and is sensitive to their social, cultural and developmental differences. Programming fosters creativity, curiosity, independence, physical activity, interaction, communication and respect for others.

The MSU donates all net proceeds raised through The McMasters to the Child Care Centre. By supporting this service, the MSU is able to help lower administrative fees and keep costs reasonable for parents, while simultaneously helping to subsidize high quality, early educational programs for young children in the Hamilton area. Moreover, the donations raised help finance summer programs for both children and their parents.

Join the fun at Chedoke Golf Club on Thursday, June 19 for a great day of golf, prizes and a fabulous dinner all in the name of charity. This year, every entrant is automatically entered into the hole-in-one contest to win a brand new 2008 SAAB. A silent auction will be held following the tournament.

Sign up now and reserve your spot. This event is always popular and you don't want to miss out on the excitement. The registration form can be downloaded from the MSU website under Campus Events. Due to strong interest, the registration deadline has been extended to Friday, June 13.
