Move your way to wellness at MacMoves Week 2023

Community members take part in the annual Pull4Mac Bus Pull, working together to pull a McMaster Shuttle Bus 100 feet to the finish line as part of a McMaster United Way Campaign. It's one of several events being held as part of MacMoves Week.


MacMoves Week, taking place between Oct 2nd and Oct 6th, 2023, is an annual initiative that unites students, staff, faculty and alumni in a series of activities, workshops and exhibitions intended to promote a healthy campus environment.  

Hosted by the Okanagan Office of Mental Health and Well-being, and in partnership with over 15 departments, MacMoves Week not only encourages the McMaster community to get moving, but also to increase their knowledge about how to improve overall health, both physical and mental.  

Here are some events to look out for this MacMoves week:


Physical Health and Ergonomics Vendor Fair

October 3rd, 12:00PM – 2:00PM in Health Sciences Library 

Members of McMaster University are encouraged to visit the Health Sciences Library to learn about the physical health resources on campus, how to take preventative measures for injury, and explore the latest and greatest ergonomic workstations that foster physical well-being. 


Pull4Mac Bus Pull

October 5th, 11:30AM – 2:00PM outside of Burke Science Building 

The McMaster Community Engagement Committee invites you to participate in the 8th Annual Pull4Mac Bus Pull. Teams are encouraged to register, raise money, and work together to pull a McMaster Shuttle Bus 100 feet to the finish line to kick off the McMaster United Way Campaign.

Tree Planting Event

October 6th, 12:00PM – 2:00PM behind Hamilton Hall 

Join Nature @ McMaster in an environmental stewardship event that lets you connect with nature, contribute to ecological restoration and positively impact our campus. It is a drop-in event for all university members and alumni, with all supplies provided and pizza for all participants at the end! 


Virtual Architecture Tour

All Week Long 

Take a virtual tour of McMaster University’s architectural wonders, presented by the McMaster Museum of Art. Dive into the captivating designs that define the campus and discover the artistic brilliance of its architecture.

Sports Rehab Information Session

October 4th, 11:00AM – 12:00PM, Virtual 

Join this interactive virtual event for a behind the scenes look at the David Braley Sport Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre. Explore what the Centre has behind its doors and how students, staff, faculty, and the community members can access their services.
