Moist makes Millennimania marvellous

It came three weeks late but the McMaster Student Union's millennium
celebration was a great success.

The much-anticipated Millennimania, sponsored by a surplus in the MSU account, featured free food and entertainers like stand-up mentalist Mike Mandel and Yuk Yuk's comedian Steven Cox.

The event lured students from their studies to enjoy
ice-skating and hot tubs at Edwards Quad. And despite the cold weather,
some 1,000 spectators turned out for the fireworks display at Les Prince Field.

We were really pleased with the turnout. The event was a tremendous
success, says Michelle Ball, the MSU's public relations director.

The most excitement surrounding the event, however, stemmed from the
free mystery concert. The closely guarded secret was revealed when
Canadian recording artists Moist and Edwin stepped onstage to perform
for a crowd of 2,000.
