Memories of McMaster relived during Homecoming Weekend

“It should be a great weekend for the entire McMaster community — lots of festivities, lots of reunions, lots of sports, lots of fun,” says Rod Morrison, director, Alumni Advancement.

Homecoming will kick off on Saturday, Oct. 1 with a Homecoming Alumni Breakfast in the Donaldson Family Marketplace in the McMaster University Student Centre. Breakfast will be served from 10-11:30 a.m. and the cost is $10 per person. Click here to register.

McMaster continues to grow and visitors will have an opportunity to view the ever-changing campus first hand through a 45-minute guided tour. Pre-registration is required. Tour times are 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Click here to register.

Excitement will pick up at 12 p.m. during the Homecoming Alumni Pre-Game Tailgate Party at Ivor Wynne Stadium. The party, which will include a barbecue, will take place in the West End zone at Ivor Wynne Stadium, from 12-2 p.m. Enter at the Beechwood & Melrose Entrance. The cost is $20 per person and includes a football ticket. There will also be a cash bar available. Click here to register.

The President's Club Reception Annual Donor Recognition Event for President's Club Members will take place on Sunday, Oct. 2 in the Donaldson Family Marketplace, McMaster University Student Centre from 2:30-4:30 p.m., by invitation only.

Visitors will reunite with old friends this weekend. Six reunions are planned: the Physical Education Class of 1980; the MD Class of 1980 and 1975; the 75th anniverary of Edwards and Wallingford Halls; and the 75th anniversary of the Silhouette. There will be many athletics events taking place over the two days, including the Hall of Fame Induction Brunch on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. in CIBC Banquet Hall, McMaster University Student Centre. Click here for a list of games and athletic reunions.
