More than 80,000 students, parents and educators are expected to attend.
The fair will give prospective students an opportunity to learn more about the universities they wish to attend. More than 300 representatives from McMaster will be available to answer questions.
“This is the best opportunity students will have to meet faculty, staff and students,” said Pat Harris, associate registrar, Student Liaison Office.
Faculty members including deans, associate deans and department chairs will be on hand to meet new students.
“They will be able to answer very specific questions about academic programs, the research they bring to the classroom and other learning opportunities,” said Harris.
Presentations by liaison staff will address a variety of topics, including admissions, living in residence and campus life. They will also distribute copies of the Year 1 Handbook.
As high school students begin to apply to universities in November and December, the fair offers a unique opportunity to learn what Ontario's universities have to offer. Harris encourages prospective students to follow-up with a tour of McMaster to get a “sense of the personality of the campus.”
