McMaster to receive almost $5 million in CIHR funding

McMaster University will receive almost $5 million from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) to fund health research projects. The CIHR announced $217 million for 589 projects across Canada last week.
Dr. Christina Sinding, an assistant professor in the Department of Health, Aging and Society and the School of Social Work, will research how a cancer patient's social and financial circumstances affect the treatment they receive, in the hopes of eliminating any inequities in care.
Sinding is among 19 applicants from McMaster who will receive funding from the CIHR, Canada's agency for health research.
