McMaster continues to be ranked among Canada's top universities, according to this year's
Maclean's rankings. For the fourth consecutive year, McMaster ranks sixth in Canada in the
medical/doctoral category comparing the country's largest schools.

McMaster scores high marks for its total research dollars (third in the country) and for
its
overall reputation (fifth in Canada). The University is also recognized as one of Canada's
most innovative campuses, and for its high quality teaching and as a source of future
leaders.

“Rankings and surveys provide one benchmark to measure our progress,” says
McMaster
President Patrick Deane. “For several years, McMaster has consistently earned a place in
the top echelon of Canada's universities. This is attributable to faculty and staff working
together to provide students with a high quality post secondary education and experience.”

Earlier this fall, McMaster earned top marks in a series of other rankings, including the
