McMaster ranks among 50 most international universities in the world
McMaster has been ranked one of the world’s most international universities, one of only four Canadian postsecondary institutions on a global ranking by Times Higher Education.

The university placed 45th out of 193 universities on the list, which takes into consideration the proportion of international staff, faculty and students, collaborations with overseas co-authors, and international reputatoins scores.
“We’re proud to welcome students and scholars from around the world,” says President and Vice-Chancellor David Farrar.
“Every member of our community brings a new perspective and helps to make McMaster a more vibrant and innovative place to learn, live and study.”
International students account for 14.5 per cent of McMaster’s undergraduates and 24.5 per cent of the university’s graduate student population. Overall, international students, staff and faculty represent more than 90 countries.
The University of British Columbia, McGill University and the University of Toronto were also ranked on the list.
McMaster ranks 80th on Times Higher Education’s overall World University Rankings, and for two years running has been in the top 20 universities globally for impact.
