Educate. Empower. The themes for North American Occupational Safety & Health Week (NAOSH) will be taken to heart at McMaster May 2-6.

Hosted by McMaster's Environmental and Occupational Health Support Services (EOHSS), in conjunction with internal and external partners, several events have been planned around these themes, including keynote speakers, training, and networking opportunities.

Highlights of the week include a speech by Paul Kells, who will discuss the tragic loss of his young son due to a workplace injury. There also will be a selection of workplace health and safety training, specific Joint Health and Safety Committee training, a vendor fair, barbecue and EOHSS open house.

McMaster will host the first Workers Health and Safety Centre Joint Instructor Update, which will include representatives from both labour and management from McMaster and major industries in the Hamilton area.
