McMaster has launched a website to highlight its accomplishments and innovations in teaching and learning.

The Teaching Excellence site showcases a history of innovations in teaching and learning that began at McMaster, including problem-based learning. As well, it provides a list of instructors who have received recognition for their work and a collection of Daily News stories about teaching innovations and accomplishments.

It also provides a link to the MacPherson Institute, McMaster’s internal resource for instructional technology, program development and teaching research.

The university launched the website after it received the 2018 Global Teaching Excellence Award from Advance Higher Education in partnership with Times Higher Education.

“McMaster has a long history of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning,” said president Patrick Deane in a Daily News article about the award. “From our gifted and creative educators to the intensive work done by the MacPherson Institute, this award shines an international spotlight on the ongoing efforts of the McMaster community to provide the best possible learning experience for our students.”
