Not only will OSCAR provide students with access to part-time and full-time employment opportunities, it will also host all co-op and internship positions.

This fully-integrated recruitment site amalgamates five posting systems from across campus into one. In doing so, McMaster University's Career Partners will achieve greater efficiency in the way they work with employers, while at the same time enhancing service to students and alumni.

Partnering in the launch of this new system is Career Services, the DeGroote Centre for Business Career Development, Engineering Co-op & Career Services, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Experiential Education and Science Career & Cooperative Education.

“OSCAR will allow the collaborative management of employer partnerships and the development function across all faculties at McMaster University, a truly innovative practice within the University community,” says Kim Pedlar, project manager and employment services leader with Career Services.

This new system will be a one-stop-shop for access to events and workshops offered by participating offices on campus. Students will be able to track their upcoming interviews, workshop registration and event activities in their own personal calendar. The calendar system will enable students to keep track of all activities taking place on campus that are recorded in OSCAR.

The OSCAR site can be accessed by all participating office websites. Students or alumni with questions about this new system are encouraged to contact their Faculty directly.
