McMaster hires new head baseball coach

Gowan, a native of Hamilton, has coached highschool, club and elite baseball at all levels including Mountain City Baseball, West Mountain Baseball, Hamilton District Baseball Association.
Recently, Gowan has coached highschool baseball at Sir Allan MacNab. The Sir Allan MacNab Lions have advanced to the City Championship in each of the last three years, including one berth in the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championship.
Gowan is the co-founder of the Hamilton Wildcats Basketball Club, where he currently coaches the Major Midget Boys Basketball team. He has coached various sports in the City of Hamilton for 36 years including The Hamilton Basketball Association, Hamilton Wildcats and CANUSA (baseball and basketball).
In his long involvement in sport in the Hamilton Community, he has coached several players who are playing or have played Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) baseball and basketball.
