Where is McMaster located? When are offers of admission made? Does the University offer entrance scholarships?
These are just some of the questions the more than 100,000 high school students, parents and guidance counselors will ask at this year's Ontario Universities' Fair (OUF), being held this weekend at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Universities from across the province will be at the fair talking to visitors about residence life, academic programs and the admissions process. McMaster alone will send more than 200 representatives to the OUF, its largest recruitment event of the year.
“The OUF is an incredibly important event for us because we get to meet a lot of potential students and their parents all at once,” said Paula Johnson, assistant registrar, Student Recruitment. “It can be a lot of work to staff our fair booth, but we have a great team made up of enthusiastic faculty, staff and students from across campus who love to talk about McMaster, which makes things much easier.”
This year, McMaster's representatives will be handing out a University prospectus to interested students. The package highlights various areas of campus and gives an overview of McMaster's academic requirements.
