McMaster Chamber Orchestra to perform first concert of season

The McMaster Chamber Orchestra is holding its first concert of the 2004-2005 season on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. in Convocation Hall located on the second floor of University Hall at McMaster University.

Works featured on this program will be Beethoven's highly dramatic Coriolan Overture, Dvorak's folk-music influenced Czech Suite, and the sublime Trumpet Concerto by Franz Joseph Haydn, played by the outstanding Niagara trumpeter and McMaster University faculty member, Tim White.

The orchestra also will present the world premiere performance of McMaster Suite by McMaster University composer Mark Thomas.

The McMaster Chamber Orchestra consists of students from the McMaster University music program. It is conducted by Keith Kinder, a music professor at the university.
