McMaster captures OUA golf championship for second time in three years

Men's Golf Championship at the Sutton Creek Golf and Country Club in
Windsor Tuesday.
McMaster started the day two shots behind the University of Toronto, but finished the day seven strokes up on the nearest competitor.
McMaster won with a score of 611. The University of Waterloo placed second with a score of 618. Wilfrid Laurier captured the bronze with a score of 620.
This is the second OUA golf championship for the Marauders in the past three years.
McMaster was lead by second-year commerce student Mike Matunin
who carded a 150. Matunin also finished tied for second place in the
individual standings, earning a position on the OUA First All-Star team.
McMaster also received strong support from first-year business student Jason Wellings who finished the tournament with a score of 153, earning him a position on the OUA Second All-Star team.
Other members of the McMaster OUA Championship golf team include second-year life sciences student Marcus Vujacis, first-year social
science student Mike Gowan and third-year anthropology student Andy
McCarthy.
McMaster two-time defending women's individual champion Katie McIntyre finished in the Top 10, but did not medal.
