Hundreds of McMaster students and staff have banded together to help Brandon Hall residents return to their rooms to retrieve essential personal belongings. Teams of staff and students have helped organize the student check-in centre. Others have volunteered as escorts, to help students to their residence rooms.

The McMaster Students Union has also provided significant support for its fellow students, including organizing social events to help maintain the Brandon Hall sense of community.
