Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about McMaster programs, ask questions about admissions and tour campus facilities.
“May @ Mac provides the best opportunity for applicants and their families to check out all that Mac has to offer,” says Candy Hui, liaison officer at the Office of the Registrar. “It will give them an opportunity to meet and ask lots of questions of faculty, staff and students and tour some of our facilities.”
Visitors can attend mini-lectures, workshops and labs to get a taste of first-year programs. They can also explore the campus by bus or on foot, tour the residences and visit buildings such as the new David Braley Athletic Centre.
New this year is a joint session offered by the Office of the Registrar, Student Accounts and the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships called Acceptance to Registration: What's Next. During the session, staff will discuss what students need to do once they accept McMaster's offer of admission, including information about the registration process and timelines.
“The Student Liaison Office would like to thank all of the people across campus who are involved in making McMaster's annual May @ Mac Open House such a successful event,” says Hui. “Whether aiding with set-up, clean up, coordinating events, acting as a program representative, or participating in sessions on May 12, it takes the work and efforts of many departments to make it all come together.”
