While the 2011 Marauders were winning the national university championship in dramatic fashion, 1971 team member
Keith Johnston was back on the field, patrolling the sidelines with a camera, href=”http://www.pbase.com/kjohnston71/mcmaster_marauders_vanier_cup_2011″>shooting all the drama.

Johnston, an offensive lineman who was named McMaster's first all-Canadian 40 years ago, now lives in Vernon, BC, and
has kept his passion for football throughout his career in business.

The McMaster MBA has served as a football official, coach and sports photographer over the decades.

Today he is sharing dozens of images from the historic game that saw McMaster come away with its first Vanier Cup,
defeating the defending champions from Laval 41-38, after Steven Ventresca's dramatic interception robbed the Rouge
et Or of the chance to score, and Tyler Crapigna, returning to the field after an illness, booted the winning field goal.
