McMaster's men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Guelph tomorrow to battle out the Gryphons in the OUA west division.

The women's team will take on the Gryphons at 6 p.m. Heading into last Saturday's matchup with the Western Mustangs, McMaster women's basketball head coach Theresa Burns and her squad had a comfortable lead in the OUA west division, and had only experienced one loss all season.

But after a 28-point defeat at the hands of the Mustangs, McMaster heads into a crucial six-game stretch starting this Wednesday against the Guelph Gryphons – against divisional opponents with a precarious half-game lead over the Brock Badgers, and two-game lead over Guelph.

The men's team will play the Gryphons at 8 p.m. With eight contests remaining in the OUA men's basketball season, the Marauders enjoy a one-game lead over Brock Badgers and Guelph Gryphons in the competitive OUA west division. Beginning Wednesday evening with a tilt at Guelph, four of McMaster's remaining eight games come against the two teams knocking at the door of the division leaders.

This past Saturday, Mac soundly defeated the Western Mustangs 95-71 in London. Hot shooting from the field in the first half proved to be the difference as the Marauders enjoyed a 53-27 lead at the break and led by as much as 34 early in the second frame.
