Marauder Football assistant coach joins DeGroote

[img_inline align=”right” src=”http://padnws01.mcmaster.ca/images/chapdelaine_ben.jpg” caption=”Ben Chapdelaine”]McMaster Football assistant coach and recruiting co-ordinator Ben Chapdelaine has accepted a position in the DeGroote School of Business as the recruitment administrator.
Chapdelaine, will remain on the coaching staff of the Marauder
Football program as Quarterback coach, a role he has served for the
past two seasons.
McMaster Head Coach, Stefan Ptaszek commented that “Ben has done
a fantastic job in his Administrative role with the McMaster Football
program. I will miss working with him, but his office is just
across the street, and I will still see him almost every day.”
“This is an excellent career opportunity for me,” said Chapdelaine. “The bonus is that I will be able to continue on
the Marauder Football coaching staff. I am looking forward to the new career challenge and applying the recruiting skills that I learned in the Department of Athletics and Recreation.”
Therese Quigley, director of Athletics and Recreation at McMaster
said that Chapdelaine has done an excellent job in his role in the department. ” Ben is a tremendous ambassador of McMaster and will be a great asset to the Degroote School of Business,” said Quigley.
Chapdelaine will start at the DeGroote School of Business on May 8, but continue to assist with the Marauder Football recruiting efforts in transition over the next few months.
