Nearly 200 employees who have spent more than 15 years at McMaster attended the luncheon, hosted by University President Peter George.

“Regardless of which milestone you are celebrating this year, you have been part of McMaster's extraordinary growth and continuous development as a world class institution for teaching and research,” said George in his address to the honourees. “Not all organizations enjoy such loyalty and commitment. We do not take it for granted.”

Liz Reeves, academic advisor in nursing and University employee for 30 years, says that she considers it a privilege to work with the great people who call McMaster home.

“While expansion and technology have brought exciting and challenging changes throughout the past thirty years, the constants have always been the very special people I get to work with and our incredible students,” she said.

The employees feted at the luncheon collectively represent 4,335 years of service to McMaster.
