After nearly 25 years of prosperity in North America, many economic commentators are asking if the US dollar is headed for a dramatic drop.
And if there is an abrupt fall, will it be a source of major macroeconomic turmoil?
This issue will be the focus of a speech given by Paul Krugman, New York Times columnist and professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University.
Titled The Potential Dollar Crisis, the lecture will take place on Friday, March 2 at 2:45 p.m. in the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery, Room 1102.
Tickets are required but are free of charge at Kenneth Taylor Hall, Room 426, by phone at 905-525-9140, ext. 24591 or by e-mail at kruglk@mcmaster.ca.
