Koziol to deliver MSU’s State of the Union address

Mary Koziol, president of the McMaster Students Union (MSU), will deliver the
organization's State of the Union address Friday in the Student Centre atrium.

Meant to be a comprehensive look at the activities of the MSU, the session will focus
on what the student government is supposed to do as well as what it actually
accomplished.

“We really want to engage students and show them how their student government
affects them,” said Koziol. “The State of the Union is a great opportunity to do just
that.”

Koziol says topics discussed in the speech will include student advocacy, the MSU's
budget and services provided by the student government.

Scheduled to run from 12 – 2 p.m., the State of the Union will also include a question
and answer session with students.
