Sealy's many talents have taken him around the world, with performances in Oslo, Copenhagen, Washington DC and across Canada.

Some of his first piano lessons were with Daisy Sweeney, whose brother was legendary Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson.

An impressive performer himself, Sealy has also had the opportunity to play with some of the top musicians in his field. He has appeared with Sammy Davis Jr., John Candy, Joe Williams, and Milt Jackson.

Sealy will be performing at McMaster with a jazz ensemble consisting of George Koller on bass, Steve Heathcote on drums, and Alex Dean on saxophone.

In addition to his successful music career, Joe Sealy works extensively in other media. He has appeared as an actor in films and television shows, and his music direction for the Toronto production of Ain't Misbehavin' garnered the Dora Mavor Moore Award. His film score for the documentary film The Road Taken earned him a nomination for a Gemini award.

Wrapped in ivy, spacious, and acoustically warm, McMaster University's Convocation Hall is once again the setting for the star-studded Celebrity Concert Series, a Hamilton tradition since 1972. This year's series of eight concerts feature unforgettable music for every taste.

Tickets are $17 general admission, $12 for seniors and $5 for students. Subscribers enjoy substantial savings.
