Mark Szilard, who graduated with his Bachelor of Engineering in 2000, now works at Line Link Canada, a communications and energy firm based in Concord, Ont. He is currently working with companies undertaking energy conservation retrofits.

“My strategy is to have as much fun as possible,” he said, adding that he studied the Grade 5 Ontario curriculum in preparation for the show. “They taught me something in engineering: how to do research.”

Szilard said he considers himself a generalist when it comes to trivia.

“I try to know as much as I can about everything.”

Were there any engineering questions on the show? Tune in tomorrow night at 9 to find out.
