Interim business dean named

An interim dean has been appointed at the DeGroote School of Business. Bob
McNutt
will assume the position as of March 1, 2011.

McNutt has had a long and distinguished career as both an academic and an
administrative leader. A former McMaster dean of science and faculty member for
more than 30 years, he went on to serve seven years as the principal of the University
of Toronto at Mississauga, formerly Erindale College. During his retirement, he
returned to McMaster to serve as acting provost and acting dean of humanities.

McNutt's appointment as interim dean begins March 1, after which time Dean Paul
Bates assumes his new role focused on strategy and development at the Ron Joyce
Centre in Burlington.
