Inter-Residence Council elects new executive

After a long meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 14, hall and programming representatives of the McMaster Inter-Residence Council elected the remainder of its executive for the upcoming 2006/07 year. After the ballots had been cast and counted, the results were announced:
Vice-president, communications: Bogdan Pletosu
Vice-president, internal: Fiona Man
Vice-president, finance: Jonathan Pearl
Vice-president, programming: Andrea Kong
Vice-president, administration: Jennifer LeNestour
This is a very exciting time for the IRC and McMaster as a whole, with new student leadership positions being elected across the campus. The executive is eager and ready for the new challenges that it will face in the upcoming year, including welcoming the representatives of McMaster's new student residence to the IRC family.
“I am thrilled to be working with such a dedicated group of people. The council has achieved many successes this year, and I look forward to continued growth in the year to come,” says Rabia Khan, incoming IRC President.
The elections for hall and programming representative for the new student residence will be held during the next IRC proper meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006. Nominations are now open, and interested individuals should contact Faizal Haji at hajif@mcmaster.ca for nomination forms.
