Innovators on campus for 2013 Showcase

Innovators will gather on campus this week to focus on the new technologies and research designed to assist our aging population to live well and longer.

The sixth annual Innovation Showcase is scheduled for May 10 at McMaster’s CIBC Hall.

The event will see researchers, students, industry partners and others come together for technology presentations, discussion panels, networking opportunities and a poster competition.

Samir Sinha, the newly appointed expert lead of Ontario’s Seniors Strategy, will be the event’s keynote speaker.

Sinha, a highly regarded expert in the care of older adults, will talk about the implementation and administration of unique, integrated and innovative models of geriatric care.

The Innovation Showcase will also feature the 2013 McMaster Innovator of the Year awards.

The event will run May 10, in CIBC Hall, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
