Students hear from Engineering Career Services manager Jeff Ollinger last week at the John Hodgins Engineering building. The students later heard from Rick Montour about the University's Indigenous Studies Program.

Hundreds of Aboriginal youth were on campus last week learning about science, technology, engineering and math.

The youths, in Grades 5 to 8, toured the University’s nuclear reactor, Lyons New Media Centre and McCallion Planetarium, performed chemistry experiments and heard from guest speakers on a range of topics.

The students stayed on campus at Mary Keyes residence and wrapped up their gathering with a powwow in front of the John Hodgins Engineering building.

The free conference was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering.
